The Father’s Embrace: Finding Refuge in Divine Love

“For the Souls in Purgatory – Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord”
Isaiah 43:1-7

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, Jacob, and formed you, Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through waters, I will be with you; through rivers, you shall not be swept away. When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, nor will flames consume you. For I, the LORD, am your God, the Holy One of Israel, your savior. I give Egypt as ransom for you, Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give people in return for you, and nations in exchange for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; from the east I will bring back your offspring, from the west I will gather you. I will say to the north: Give them up! and to the south: Do not hold them back! Bring back my sons from afar, and my daughters from the ends of the earth: everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.

Grace Prayed For

Grant me the grace to rest in your embrace, knowing that I am precious in your eyes. Empower me to share this message of hope with the world, that all may know your intimate love.

Reflection

In the quiet of our hearts, we hear the voice of a loving Father, echoing through the ages. “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” These words, spoken to Israel long ago, resonate with us today, a gentle reminder of God’s unwavering love and care.

Like a potter molding clay, He has formed us, each unique and precious in His sight. He knows us intimately, calling us by name, claiming us as His own. In moments of trial, when we feel overwhelmed by the “waters” and “fire” of life, He promises His presence. We are not alone; He is with us, our protector and guide.

This profound love compels us to share this message with the world. Every encounter is an opportunity to reveal the Father’s heart, to invite others into the embrace of His love. We are called to be messengers of hope, bearing witness to the transformative power of God’s intimate care.

Growing in Intimacy/Union with Jesus

This scripture passage leads to greater intimacy with Jesus by revealing the Father’s immense love for us. Jesus, as the Son, perfectly reflects this love. By understanding the Father’s care, we can better grasp the depth of Jesus’ sacrifice and His desire for a close relationship with us. Jesus embodies the Father’s promise of presence and protection, inviting us to trust in Him even amidst life’s challenges.

Sharing

Jesus last words on Earth were to his disciples, can be found in Matthew Chap 28 when Jesus told his disciples, “Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Jesus calls all of us to share in his redemptive mission here on Earth. I would ask you to share this Scripture reflection with your family, your friends and your acquaintances, and then share it with a couple of individuals that you may may not be comfortable sharing with, keeping in mind always the words of Jesus, And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
