The Whisper of Divine Love
Grace Prayed For
Hope: In a world filled with suffering and uncertainty, we need the grace to hold onto hope. Pray for an unwavering trust in God’s promises, even when they seem distant or impossible. Ask for the strength to persevere through challenges, knowing that God is working to bring about His kingdom of peace and justice.
Scripture Passage
On this mountain the LORD of hosts
will provide for all peoples
A feast of rich food and choice wines,
juicy, rich food and pure, choice wines.
On this mountain he will destroy
the veil that veils all peoples,
The web that is woven over all nations;
he will destroy death forever.
The Lord GOD will wipe away
the tears from all faces;
The reproach of his people he will remove
from the whole earth; for the LORD has spoken.
On that day it will be said:
“Behold our God, to whom we looked to save us!
This is the LORD for whom we looked;
let us rejoice and be glad that he has saved us!”
For the hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain.
Reflection
The air crackles with anticipation. Advent, a time of expectant waiting, whispers promises of a feast to come. Not just any feast, but a banquet prepared by the LORD of hosts, a lavish spread of rich food and choice wines, overflowing with abundance and joy.
This feast, however, is not merely a physical one. It’s a feast for the soul, a promise of ultimate fulfillment where all tears will be wiped away and the sting of death will be no more. The prophet Isaiah paints a vivid picture of a world transformed, where the veils of misunderstanding and the webs of division are destroyed, revealing the radiant face of God to all.
This Advent, as we prepare our hearts for the coming of the Savior, let us lift our eyes to that mountain where God’s glory dwells. Let us feast on His promises, savoring the hope they offer. In a world often shrouded in darkness, this vision of redemption shines like a beacon, reminding us that God is with us, working to restore all creation.
Imagine a world without sorrow, where the weight of grief is lifted and the pain of loss is healed. A world where every face reflects the joy of salvation, and the reproach of suffering is replaced with songs of praise. This is the future God has prepared for us, a future inaugurated by the birth of Jesus.
As we light the candles of Advent, let us kindle a flame of hope within our hearts. Let us remember that the hand of the Lord rests upon us, guiding us towards that glorious banquet where we will finally behold our God face to face. And in this season of waiting, let us rejoice and be glad, for our salvation is near.
Growing in Intimacy with Jesus
Living in Hope and Joy: The passage concludes with an invitation to rejoice and be glad. This encourages a joyful, hopeful disposition, reflecting the joy that comes from knowing and following Jesus. This joy can become a source of strength and intimacy with Christ, even amidst life’s challenges.

Sharing
Jesus last words on Earth were to his disciples, can be found in Matthew Chap 28 when Jesus told his disciples, “Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Jesus calls all of us to share in his redemptive mission here on Earth. I would ask you to share this Scripture reflection with your family, your friends and your acquaintances, and then share it with a couple of individuals that you may may not be comfortable sharing with, keeping in mind always the words of Jesus, And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
