The Divine Architect

“For the Souls in Purgatory – Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord”

Psalm 51:10-12

A clean heart create for me, God; renew within me a steadfast spirit. Do not drive me from your presence, nor take from me your holy spirit. Restore to me the gladness of your salvation; uphold me with a willing spirit.

Grace Prayed For

I pray for the grace of Spiritual Renewal—that I may trust God to rebuild and refresh my soul where it has grown weary or cluttered.

Reflection

We often approach Lent with a “to-do” list of self-improvement, but the Psalmist reminds us that only God can create a clean heart. The Hebrew word for “create” here is the same used in Genesis; it implies making something out of nothing. If you feel your spiritual life is empty or messy, this is good news. You don’t have to clean yourself up to meet Jesus; you only need to give Him permission to do the work. Intimacy grows when we stop trying to hide our “messy” hearts and instead ask Him to renew them from within.

Sharing

Jesus last words on Earth were to his disciples, can be found in Matthew Chap 28 when Jesus told his disciples, “Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Jesus calls all of us to share in his redemptive mission here on Earth. I would ask you to share this Scripture reflection with your family, your friends and your acquaintances, and then share it with a couple of individuals that you may may not be comfortable sharing with, keeping in mind always the words of Jesus, And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
