“Shining the Glory of Christ in Every Encounter”

“For the Souls in Purgatory – Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord”

II Cor 3:12–4:6

Since we have such hope, we act very boldly and not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the Israelites could not look intently at the cessation of what was fading. Rather, their thoughts were rendered dull, for to this present day the same veil remains unlifted when they read the old covenant, because through Christ it is taken away. But to this day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their hearts, but whenever a person turns to the Lord the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. All of us, gazing with unveiled face on the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Therefore, since we have this ministry through the mercy shown us, we are not discouraged. Rather, we have renounced shameful, hidden things; not acting deceitfully or falsifying the word of God, but by the open declaration of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. And even though our gospel is veiled, it is veiled for those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they may not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for the sake of Jesus. For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to bring to light the knowledge of the glory of God on the face of Jesus Christ.

Grace Prayed For

The grace to let the veil fall from my heart so that I may see and reflect the light of Christ, sharing His love in every encounter with boldness and humility.

Reflection

When I turn to Jesus, the veil over my heart is lifted, and I begin to see with the eyes of love. No longer hidden, the glory of God shines through Him into my very being. He does not keep His light to Himself but pours it into me so that I might reflect His presence in my encounters. In His Body, I am no longer separate, no longer blind. I share in the boldness of those who have been set free by the Spirit.

This passage reminds me that Jesus does not call me to keep His love private, but to let it radiate outward in every exchange of life. I am not here to proclaim myself, but Him—the One who has loved me into existence, forgiven my failings, and made His dwelling in me. My life becomes the canvas of His mercy, my words the echo of His voice, my actions the evidence of His enduring love.

Jesus unites me to His Body so that together we can carry His light into the shadows of our world. Where there is division, He sends me as a sign of reconciliation. Where there is despair, He calls me to witness hope. Where hearts are veiled, He invites me to reveal His face by loving as He loves. In joining Him, I find not only my mission, but also my deepest intimacy with the Trinity: the Father who chose me, the Son who gave Himself for me, and the Spirit who empowers me to live freely in the truth.

Announcing Jesus in Our Lives

Ways to Evangelize in Daily Life
  • Speak openly about how Jesus has loved you—share short, personal testimonies of how He has carried you through darkness into light.
  • Let kindness be your proclamation: small gestures of patience, forgiveness, and generosity speak Christ’s presence.
  • Invite others into prayer, even briefly, when they share struggles (“Can I pray for you right now?”).
  • Use your daily conversations as opportunities to name God’s goodness—when someone praises beauty, answer: “Yes, God really blesses us with that.”
  • Live with hope that stands out, especially in places of despair; your peace becomes an invitation to Christ.

Sharing

Jesus last words on Earth were to his disciples, can be found in Matthew Chap 28 when Jesus told his disciples, “Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Jesus calls all of us to share in his redemptive mission here on Earth. I would ask you to share this Scripture reflection with your family, your friends and your acquaintances, and then share it with a couple of individuals that you may may not be comfortable sharing with, keeping in mind always the words of Jesus, And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
