Today’s Theme for Prayer – Jesus Desires to Save Me
How Do I Allow Jesus to Act Freely in Me?

II Cor 1:18-22
As God is faithful, our word to you is not “yes” and “no.” For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was proclaimed to you by us, Silvanus and Timothy and me, was not “yes” and “no,” but “yes” has been in him. For however many are the promises of God, their Yes is in him; therefore, the Amen from us also goes through him to God for glory. But the one who gives us security with you in Christ and who anointed us is God; he has also put his seal upon us and given the Spirit in our hearts as a first installment.
Grace Prayed For
Boldness in Sharing the Gospel: Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy proclaimed Christ to the Corinthians. Pray for the grace to boldly share the good news of Jesus with others, just as they did. Ask for courage to speak the truth in love and to be a witness to God’s grace in your life.
Jesus: The Embodiment of God’s Promises
This passage from 2 Corinthians speaks of the unwavering faithfulness of God and the resounding “yes” that we find in Jesus Christ. It’s a beautiful reminder of the certainty and security we have in Him.
Unlike the shifting sands of human promises, often filled with “maybes” and “perhaps,” God’s promises are steadfast and true. They find their ultimate fulfillment in Jesus, who is the embodiment of God’s “yes” to humanity. Every promise of God – forgiveness, salvation, eternal life – is realized in Him.
This realization brings profound peace and confidence. We are not left to navigate life’s uncertainties alone, but are anchored in the unwavering “yes” of God. Through Christ, we have access to the fullness of God’s love and grace.
The passage also highlights the role of the Holy Spirit, given as a “first installment” and a seal of God’s promises. This indwelling presence assures us of our identity as God’s beloved children and empowers us to live in the light of His truth.
As we reflect on these words, let us be filled with gratitude for the unwavering faithfulness of God. Let us rest in the knowledge that His promises are true and that our salvation is secure in Christ. And let us allow the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us, so that we may live lives that reflect the resounding “yes” of God.
This passage invites us to:
- Trust in God’s promises: Remember that His word is true and that He will always keep His commitments to us.
- Find our security in Christ: Recognize that our salvation and identity are found in Him alone.
- Live in the power of the Holy Spirit: Allow the Spirit to guide and empower us to live lives that honor God.
May this reflection draw you closer to the heart of God and fill you with peace and confidence in His unwavering love.

When Time Allows Reflect on the Posts in Library and Musings
Sharing
Jesus last words on Earth were to his disciples, can be found in Matthew Chap 28 when Jesus told his disciples, “Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Jesus calls all of us to share in his redemptive mission here on Earth. I would ask you to share this Scripture reflection with your family, your friends and your acquaintances, and then share it with a couple of individuals that you may may not be comfortable sharing with, keeping in mind always the words of Jesus, And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
