Love that Unites the Body
“For the Souls in Purgatory – Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord”

Revelation 2:1–4
To the angel of the church in Ephesus, write this:
“The one who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks in the midst of the seven gold lampstands says this: I know your works, your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot tolerate the wicked; you have tested those who call themselves apostles but are not, and discovered that they are false. Moreover, you have endurance and have suffered for my name, and you have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: you have lost the love you had at first.”
Grace Prayed For
The grace to rekindle the first love of Christ in my heart so that all my works and encounters flow from His enduring love.
Reflection
Jesus, who holds all creation in His hand and walks among His people, reminds me in this passage that He sees me—my labor, my endurance, and my struggles to remain faithful. He affirms the good that I do, but He also calls me back to the love I first had for Him. The danger in discipleship is not only failing but also losing the fire of love that once burned brightly.
To be united to His Body is to live in constant renewal of that first love. Jesus has loved me with a love that never grows weary, a love that endures betrayal, weakness, and forgetfulness. He gently calls me to remember: it is love that unites, love that gives meaning to my works, and love that allows me to truly share and receive in every encounter. Without that first love, I cannot be His presence in the world. With it, every action, every word, every gesture becomes a way of extending His Body into creation, drawing others into communion.
This is the mission: not only to endure but to burn with the love of Christ, so that the world may see through me the living Jesus who restores, heals, and unites all things in Himself.

Sharing
Jesus last words on Earth were to his disciples, can be found in Matthew Chap 28 when Jesus told his disciples, “Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Jesus calls all of us to share in his redemptive mission here on Earth. I would ask you to share this Scripture reflection with your family, your friends and your acquaintances, and then share it with a couple of individuals that you may may not be comfortable sharing with, keeping in mind always the words of Jesus, And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
