Exodus 3:10-14
“Now, go! I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” God answered: I will be with you; and this will be your sign that I have sent you. When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will serve God at this mountain. “But,” said Moses to God, “if I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what do I tell them?” God replied to Moses: I am who I am. Then he added: This is what you will tell the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you.”

Grace Prayed For: A deepening awareness of my fundamental vocation, to praise, love, and serve God
The desert wind whipped around Moses, carrying the scent of sand and sun-baked earth. The air crackled with the intensity of the divine presence. A voice, resonating from the heart of the burning bush before him, echoed with authority: “Go! I am sending you to Pharaoh…” The words hit Moses like a physical blow. Every fiber of his being screamed doubt, a tangled mess of fear and inadequacy.
Hesitantly, he stammered a question, his voice dry in the desert heat. “Who am I?” He felt the weight of his own limitations, the vast gulf separating him from the seemingly insurmountable task he was being called to do. The burning bush flickered, the voice returning, each syllable heavy with reassurance: “I will be with you.”
In that moment, Moses felt a presence surround him, a tangible sense of God’s unwavering support. It was like a warm hand resting on his shoulder, a silent promise that he wouldn’t walk this path alone. He took a shaky breath, the fear within him starting to recede.
“But what sign will I give them?” he ventured, the seed of doubt still lingering. He needed something concrete, something to bridge the gap between his words and the enormity of his claim. The voice answered, its cadence like the rhythm of a steady heartbeat: “I am who I am.”
A profound sense of mystery washed over Moses. It wasn’t a name, not in the way humans understood it. It was an embodiment of being, of existence itself. It was the source of all creation, the wellspring of power and love. He held this truth within him, a secret entrusted to his very core.
“Tell them,” the voice continued, “I AM has sent you.” Moses stood straighter, his shoulders finding a new resolve. He wouldn’t carry this burden alone. He carried within him the essence of the Divine, a potent reminder of the power that would guide him every step of the way. The desert wind, no longer oppressive, now felt like a song of encouragement, propelling him forward towards the uncertain horizon. He was just an instrument, but through him, the I AM would move, and the people would be free.
Sharing
Jesus last words on Earth were to his disciples, can be found in Matthew Chap 28 when Jesus told his disciples, “Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Jesus calls all of us to share in his redemptive mission here on Earth. I would ask you to share this Scripture reflection with your family, your friends and your acquaintances, and then share it with a couple of individuals that you may may not be comfortable sharing with, keeping in mind always the words of Jesus, And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
