Jeremiah 1:5
““Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you.”
Grace Prayed For: I pray for the following grace: to be more aware of how God is near; to trust in God’s personal care and love for me.
Close your eyes. Breathe deeply, feeling the rise and fall of your own chest, the rhythm of life within you. Now, imagine reaching back beyond your birth, past the echoes of memory, even before your mother knew you were there. Step into this womb of pre-existence.
Here, in the darkness, a voice speaks. Not a booming pronouncement, but a whisper, a knowing. It says, “I knew you.” Feel the weight of those words, not as a burden, but as a warm ember in your palm.
Now, a purpose unfolds. Not chosen, but dedicated. Imagine your spirit, unformed yet vibrant, being held in gentle hands, molded with intention. Feel the brush of destiny against your skin, a calling that stirs something deep within.
Open your eyes. Return to the present, carrying the echoes of that pre-existence. Consider:
- What does it mean to be known by God before you were born? Does it change your understanding of who you are and your relationship with God
- How does the phrase “dedicated you” resonate within you? What purpose do you feel called to?
- Can you trace any echoes of this pre-existence in your life, passions, or talents?
Take your time. Let the verse soak into your bones, your senses, your soul. This isn’t about finding right answers, but about experiencing the mystery of being chosen, known, and destined to be with God our Father.
Sharing
Jesus last words on Earth were to his disciples, can be found in Matthew Chap 28 when Jesus told his disciples,”Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
Jesus calls all of us to share in his redemptive mission here on Earth. I would ask you to share this Scripture reflection with your family, your friends and your acquaintences, and then share it with a couple of individuals that you may may not be comfortable sharing with, keeping in mind always the words of Jesus, And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
