The Divine Map

“For the Souls in Purgatory – Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord”

Psalm 25:4-5

Make known to me your ways, Lord; teach me your paths. Guide me by your fidelity and teach me, for you are God my savior, for you I wait all the day long.

Grace Prayed For

Today, we pray for Docility. This isn’t a passive or weak trait; it is a vibrant, active openness. It is the courage to admit that our own maps have led us into thickets, and the humility to let the Holy Spirit redraw the boundaries of our lives. To be “teachable” is to believe that God has something new to say to us, even in the familiar rhythms of Lent.

Reflection

True intimacy with the Divine begins the moment we run out of our own answers. We often approach Lent with a “to-do” list for God: I will fast from this, I will pray like that, I will master this virtue. But notice the shift in the Psalmist’s heart. He isn’t presenting a plan; he is requesting a path.

When you ask someone to “teach you their ways,” you are asking to see the world through their eyes. You are asking for their secrets, their preferences, and their heart. By praying, “Make known to me your ways,” you are moving past a transactional faith and into a transformational friendship.

God’s “fidelity” is the compass here. He leads us not because we are experts at following, but because He is an expert at Loving. Today, try to let go of the pressure to “perform” your spirituality. Instead, stay in that space of “waiting all the day long.” It is in the waiting—in the gaps between our busy thoughts—that His guidance finally becomes audible.

Sharing

Jesus last words on Earth were to his disciples, can be found in Matthew Chap 28 when Jesus told his disciples, “Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Jesus calls all of us to share in his redemptive mission here on Earth. I would ask you to share this Scripture reflection with your family, your friends and your acquaintances, and then share it with a couple of individuals that you may may not be comfortable sharing with, keeping in mind always the words of Jesus, And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age
