Doctrine of the Common Good

In the “Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church,” the principle of the common good is presented as a central tenet of Catholic social teaching. It is described as the “sum total of social conditions which allow people, either as groups or as individuals, to reach their fulfillment more fully and more easily.” This principle highlights the interconnectedness and interdependence of individuals within society, emphasizing that the well-being of each person is intimately linked to the flourishing of the whole community.
